Chevron Corp. has awarded a $3,000 grant to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County community-based mentoring program. The funding from Chevron, combined with additional sources, allows the agency to serve more than 260 children throughout the county by pairing vulnerable local youth with quality adult role models.

“Our programs provide the mentoring children need to have brighter, more successful futures with better educational outcomes,” said development director Patty Carpenter. “The Chevron Corp. Community Grant program has funded our programs for the past 10 years, for a total of $24,000!”
