Every January, we shine a spotlight on the power of mentorship. Research shows that young people with mentors are more likely to stay in school, avoid risky behaviors, and pursue their dreams. At Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County, we see this impact every day—because of YOU.
How You Can Celebrate
- Thank a Mentor – If you know someone who volunteers as a mentor, take a moment to thank them for making a difference.
- Spread the Word – Share stories of mentorship on social media using #MentoringMonth and tag us!
- Become a Big – There are still youth waiting for a mentor. Learn how you can change a life by becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister.
