DESCRIPTION:January 2026 is National Mentoring Month \n\nNational Mentoring Month is a time to celebrate the incredible volunteers who change lives by empowering youth in our community. It’s also an opportunity to raise awareness about the life-changing impact of mentorship and the work we do at Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County. \nThis January\, we invite you to join us in honoring mentors and supporting youth mentorship—one plate\, one pint\, and one match at a time. \n\nPints & Plates Thursdays\nEvery Thursday evening in January\, local breweries and restaurants are teaming up to make a difference! Participating businesses will donate a portion of their sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of SLO County\, helping us continue our mission to ignite the power and promise of youth through mentorship. \nWhen you dine or grab a drink at these establishments\, you’re not just enjoying a great meal—you’re investing in brighter futures. Be sure to thank these amazing partners for supporting SLO Bigs! \n\nParticipating Businesses\nCafe Roma\, SLO- 25% of all wine sales by the bottle \nCentral Coast Brewing\, SLO- 5% of sales donated between 5:30pm-7:30pm from both locations. \nPono Pacific Kitchen\, Grover Beach- Order a cocktail with their locally distilled gin or vodka\, between 4pm-close\, and a percentage of your purchase will be donated. \n  \n\nHow You Can Help\n\nDine Out: Visit participating restaurants and breweries on Thursdays in January.\nSpread the Word: Share our event on social media and invite friends to join.\nDonate Directly: Can’t make it out? DESCRIPTION:Rooster Creek Tavern is committed to giving back to their community! \n​They have designated the 3rd Tuesday of each month to raising funds for local non-profits and causes near and dear to the hearts of their fellow Arroyo Grandians. During these events\, they donate all of their proceeds between 5-9 pm to the charity of the month. \nThe entire evening is devoted to bringing awareness and spreading goodwill.  They provide a platform for featured organizations to meet and greet guests as they arrive\, and to educate and encourage citizens to get involved if they feel so inclined. \nRooster Creek Tavern is proud to say that this program has been running successfully for over 10 years now!
