Big Brother Ken at Santa Maria Speedway with our Program Director Sarah and Littles

Big Brother of more than 2 years, Ken Kehs, was awarded September's Big in the Spotlight at our Big, Little and Family event at Santa Maria Speedway on September 19th. His Little Brother, Wes, attended the event and thanked Ken for "laughing at all my dumb jokes" and he said "ugga-bugga!" Wes' mom wrote in her thank you card: "We appreciate Ken because he is funny and fun and he does guy stuff with Wes that Mom is not so able to do." Ken accepted a  a thank you note, balloons, a Big Brothers Big Sisters tile, and a certificate down on the race tracks in front of all the Santa Maria Speedway fans, including the 70 Bigs and Littles in attendance, thanks to Ken! Ken also has spent countless hours in the Big Brothers Big Sisters office revamping our computer systems. Now they are wonderful and easy to use! Hooray! Ken also regularly volunteers at Big Brothers Big Sisters funraisersing events. Ken exemplifies outstanding commitment to the community, our agency and to his Little Brother Wes! Thank you Ken for being such a great volunteer!
