Welcome

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a donor and volunteer supported organization proven to help vulnerable children of single, low-income and/or incarcerated parents succeed through one-to-one relationships. Funding provides for targeted and careful volunteer recruiting, screening and matching, as well as ongoing support for volunteers, children, and families, ensuring child safety and sustaining successful long term relationships with positive outcomes.

Since opening for service in 1995, we have created more than 1,400 mentor relationships. In 2011, we served over 350 children in San Luis Obispo County.

Our vision is that all children achieve success in life.

Our Mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
